Ahh, today's bank holiday is all about celebrating Spring?
So I should have danced around a pole, eh? A Maypole, gents! Tsk, tsk. Those lovely ancient ones with the girls wearing light sunny dresses and flower garlands on their heads, giggling and chanting whilst the blood rushes with their gracious swirling, celebrating the Roman goddess Flora in all its glory.Well then, here's to you, once-almighty Flora, now in an age where seasons lost all meaning.
